Router Protocol operates as a layer 1 blockchain that leverages tendermint's Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) consensus engine. Functioning as a Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain, it relies on a network of validators who are economically incentivized to act honestly. Developed with the Cosmos SDK, the Router chain encapsulates all Cosmos features, such as rapid block times, robust security mechanisms, and most notably, CosmWasm - a security-first smart contract platform. By utilizing the CosmWasm toolkit, developers can efficiently create secure blockchain applications on the Router chain either from scratch or by migrating their existing applications with minimal effort.
